With the snow melt and the resulting ground thaw growth here in the north happens at a rapid rate, new grass shoots show almost immediately and trees burst with new buds. This shortened spring and summer found in Northern BC is the reason for the race to begin this cycle of life! The wildlife is obviously quick on its heels and the quest for nutrition after a long barren winter is first and foremost. This is what we saw in and around our town-house in the suburbs of PG! First came the Blacktail Deer and then the Cow Moose and her calf. One can see the coat shedding for the coming warmer months.
This is fun stuff and while indoors during a northern winter one can find the time too! This work can be tedious but the rewards and feeling of achievement can be great. I have added a few examples of what I managed to accomplish with the various Photoshop tools (and other software) available to me. I am no expert believe me but can get by and create a semi-great result me thinks. I believe this is a case of “The harder I practice, the luckier I get.” quoted by the famous South African golfer, Gary Player.
I have created this website and blog after a long time of ‘not ever finding the time’…I know it’s a lame excuse but hey I am trying to be honest here! Anyway this is going to be the place I will ‘flex’ my creative photographic muscles and you will be the lucky recipient. Stay close people and enjoy!
My interpretation of a winter ‘dusk’ sky in Northern BC….
